Europe 2015: Day Seven

Monday, June 22, 2015 (Day 7)
Paris France

We began our day by going to the Louvre.  Denice and I hung together and we decided to head to the Oceana area because I figured there would be great masks.  I was not disappointed.

Venus de Milo

Our next stop was a trip up the Eiffel Tower.

We been moving so fast on this trip the kids didn't have time to shave.

Unfortunately, when we reached the mid-level of the tower, it began to rain big time.  We decided not to stand out in the rain for the hour it would take to get to the top.  That will have to be saved for next time.

Because of the rain, we made a quick excursion to the Galeries Lafayette which is a gorgeous shopping mall with a beautiful stained glass dome.

Under terms of full disclosure, I bought a man-bag.

Our next goal was to head up to the funky Montmartre neighborhood where Salvador Dali used to live.

We climbed up the heights to the Basilique du Sacre-Coeur de Montmarte where we could tour the church, eat dinner and see the sights of Paris from up above.

Dinner this night was at the Hippopotamus Restaurant.

From the heights we could see the Eiffel Tower.
