The Fool from the Rider–Waite tarot deck
Michael deMeng is at it again with another on-line assemblage workshop. This one is Tarot: Beyond the Cards.
I decided to focus on the Major Arcana with the first card, The Fool. Here are some of the qualities of the card that I picked up from a little Internet research: the embrace of new beginnings, the expansion of one's horizons, the willingness to take risks guided by intuition, having faith in the future, being inexperienced, not knowing what to expect, having beginner's luck, improvisation and believing in the universe.
The substrate was this volleyball trophy
The Dremel
The audition of parts
Aves Epoxy Clay
Texture on the base
Face was purchased as a cookie face mold design
Thus we have The Fool. It is 10"H X 8"W X 8"D. It consists of a Volleyball Award, Tinker Toy Wheel, Salt Crystal, Wood Trim, Rebar Wire, Rusted Cotton and Paper.
