My work space in the Lynn Pavilion
Its spring and for some folks that means spring bulbs in the garden. For me, it means the 2025 art season is open and I am heading to Shake Rag Alley in Mineral Point, WI. It is time for the spring version of Make What Ya Brung. This group meets twice a year in the Lynn Pavilion on the Shake Rag campus and its consists of artists bringing whatever they want to work on for the four days.

Let's get on to the art I made over the four days.
THE ETERNAL ENGINE TRAPPED IN MEDITATION GEAR
A JOY IN EVERY PUFF
This project started with this really cool Reichard's Cadet Tin Store Display
This oval board I bought out of the stuff waiting for the upcoming Shake Rag Alley flea market. I covered it with my own rust paper and then did some painting.
The store display has a glass case that has two sides of glass. I collaged the woman's image on the front of the glass display. On the back glass I collage some rust paper and the bird feather.
Thus we have A Joy In Every Puff. It is 17"H X 12"W X 4" W. It consists of an Oval Wood Frame, Reichard's Cadet Tin Store Display, Rust Paper, and Paint.
MR. MAJESTIC
This Hobby Lobby frame was picked up at a St. Vincent DePaul just for its structure
I auditioned some bits and bobs for the interior
I paper mached the cork board in order to make it paintable
It happened again on this wood shrine substrate
At the antique store, there was no radio--only the metal dial face
Thus we have Mr. Majestic. It is 27"H X 20"W X 3"D. It consists of a Wood Frame, Wood Shrine Board, Grisby Grunow Majestic Radio Dial Face, Ash Tray, Earing, Resin, Rust Paper and Paint.
